They turned the corner — and stopped.
A tall metal gate stood in front of them.
Closed.
“No way…” Leo said.
“We can’t go through here.”
Anna stepped closer.
“There must be another way.”
Suddenly, a light flashed.
“Hey! You can’t be here!” a voice called.
A security guard stepped out of the shadows.
Max froze.
“We have to stay calm,” he whispered.
Anna nodded.
“We shouldn’t run.”
Leo looked around.
“We might be able to go around the fence.”
The guard came closer.
“You must leave now.”
Max took a step back.
“Okay… we will go.”
They slowly walked away.
When they turned the corner, Leo whispered,
“That could have been bad.”
Anna exhaled.
“Yeah… we might have gotten in real trouble.”
Max looked ahead again.
“It’s fine,” he said.
“We just have to find another way.”
