They walked down the long, empty road.
The city lights slowly disappeared behind them.
Only streetlights, rain, and their footsteps.
For a while, no one spoke.
Then Leo laughed quietly.
“We must be crazy.”
Anna smiled.
“Yeah… we could be at home right now.”
Max looked ahead.
“But we’re not.”
The rain got stronger.
Anna moved closer.
“We might need to share the umbrella.”
Leo lifted his hoodie.
“Or we can just get completely wet.”
Max laughed.
“We won’t melt, don’t worry.”
They kept walking.
Step by step.
“This might be the longest walk ever,” Anna said.
Leo nodded.
“Yeah… but it could be worth it.”
Max slowed down and looked at his friends.
“We have to remember this,” he said.
Anna smiled softly.
“We will.”
And for the first time that night,
everything felt right.
