Max lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling.
The room was dark, except for the soft light from his phone. Rain tapped quietly against the window.
He couldn’t relax.
Tomorrow was the day. The trip they had been talking about for months.
Everything had to be perfect.
He turned his head and looked at his backpack. It was already packed, but something didn’t feel right.
He felt like he should check everything again.
“What if I forgot something?” he thought.
“We might need more food… or a charger… or something else.”
He grabbed his phone and opened the group chat.
“We should meet tonight,” he typed slowly.
“We need to check everything before morning.”
For a moment, he hesitated.
Maybe they could just meet tomorrow.
But no… that didn’t feel right.
He pressed send.
Max sat up and listened to the rain.
This night might be the start of something big.
And he knew one thing for sure —
he couldn’t just stay at home and do nothing.
