What Would You Choose?

1. Three possible decisions
- A. Stay in this room. No new booking. No extra payment. But the noise and Wi-Fi problem are still there.
- B. Ask to see another room. Check the view, the noise and the Wi-Fi before saying yes.
- C. Leave and find another guesthouse. It costs more. Ask for the first payment back, but you do not know the answer yet.
- Which option is best for Lera: A / B / C?
- Which option costs more?
- Which option keeps the same problems?
- Which option lets them check a room first?
2. A small problem or a big problem?
Choose: okay for me / not okay for me.
- No sea view, but a quiet room.
- A beautiful view, but loud music all night.
- No Wi-Fi, but you have mobile internet.
- No Wi-Fi and you need to work online.
- A smaller room for a lower price.
- The right room, but it is not ready for two hours.
3. Which reply helps?
Read the replies. Choose the best one for this situation.
- A. "Wi-Fi is free. You did not pay for it, so it is not a problem."
- B. "I am sorry. Let me check another room. You can see it before you decide."
- C. "We have a better room. It costs 3,000 roubles extra."
- Which reply offers a check before a decision?
- Which reply asks for more money?
- Which reply ignores one problem?
4. Complete the conversation
Use: problem, photos, street, Wi-Fi, check, room. Use each word once.
- Lera: Excuse me. We have a ___.

- Lera: There is a noisy ___ outside.
- Katya: And the ___ does not work.
- Receptionist: I am sorry. Let me ___ your booking.
- Receptionist: Let's look at another ___.
Can we see it first?
5. One thing first
Choose what to do first.
- The room is different. Show the advert / Buy another ticket.
- Another room is offered. Check it / Agree without looking.
- A refund is offered. Ask how much / Leave without asking.
