Future Simple: will + verb

We use will for:

1. Predictions about the future

I think life will be more expensive.
People will use more technology.
Robots will do some jobs.

2. Quick decisions

I’m tired. I’ll take a taxi.
This bag is heavy. I’ll help you.

3. Promises and offers

I’ll call you later.
I’ll help you with English.

Form: will

Positive

I will work.
He will travel.
They will study.

Short form:

I’ll work.
He’ll travel.
They’ll study.

Negative

I will not work.
He will not travel.

Short form:

won’t

I won’t work tomorrow.
She won’t go to the party.

Questions

Will you work tomorrow?
Will he travel next year?
Will they pass the test?

Short answers:

Yes, I will. / No, I won’t.
Yes, he will. / No, he won’t.
