The train was delayed for forty minutes. Six strangers stood near Platform 9. At first, everybody looked at a phone. Then Maya asked, "Why are you all going to Bellport?" The answers were completely different.

Maya was going to see her grandmother. They had not met for three years. Maya did not care about museums or beaches. For her, the person was the destination.
