Part 2. The poster in the hall
It is Friday afternoon. The college hall is not ready for classes now. It is ready for the Hobby Fair.
There is a long wall with posters. There are tables for different clubs. One table has a camera and some school magazines. One table has chessboards. One table has paints and paper. One table has sports flyers. Another table has two guitars and a speaker.
The students stop in front of a new poster.
WHO ARE YOU AFTER CLASSES?
Come to the Hobby Fair. Find your people.
Max smiles at it. Rita takes a photo of it. Oleg laughs and says, “It is dramatic, but it is good.” Lena loves it. Dan looks at it for a long time and says nothing.
Their teacher, Ms. Green, is near the door. She is tired, but happy.
“This year is different,” she says. “This time, you do not only visit the clubs. You choose one idea, join a team, and make something real.”
The students look at her.
“A poster, a mini show, a photo wall, a game, a club page, anything,” she says. “But it must show who you are.”
For a moment, nobody speaks.
Then Lena says, “That is actually cool.”
