Chapter 2 — Tom’s First Day at School🏫🎒

The next morning 🌅, Tom goes to school 🏫 in Rulevania. At the school gate 🚪, a teacher 👩‍🏫 smiles and says, “Welcome! You must jump two times 🦘🦘 before you enter. You mustn’t open your bag 🎒 in the hall. You have to say ‘Good morning, rules!’ ☀️📜 to the principal. Students can’t sit down 🪑 before the bell 🔔 rings. They must keep one shoe 👟 very clean ✨. They should carry a red notebook 📕 on rainy days 🌧️.” Tom looks at the other students 👀. They all jump, smile, and speak to the principal. Tom thinks 💭, “I have to be careful here.”

You must write the date 📅 in green 🟢. You can’t say ‘I don’t know.’ ❌ You should say ‘I will try.’ 💪 At lunch 🍽️, students must eat the round food first ⚪. They mustn’t trade sandwiches 🥪. After lunch, everyone has to thank the chairs 🪑🙂 before the next lesson.” Tom wants to laugh 😂, but he knows he mustn’t. He starts to think Rulevania school is funny, scary, and interesting at the same time.
